Types

There are four categories of Whidbey Island Grown membership: producers, Whidbey Island Merchants Selling Whidbey Island Produced Products, sponsors and community. Benefits for membership in each category are listed below along with a description of the application processes and pdf application forms.

Whidbey Island Agricultural Producer

Benefits

• Listing of your farm and products on this web site
• Your products featured on the e-newsletter sent to Island residents and visitors
• Free one year membership on the new Puget Sound Food Network
• Use of the Whidbey Island Grown logo and graphics on your packaging and display materials (sample sticker layouts are included)
• Expanded retail and foodservice opportunities to sell your products
• One free roll of 500 logo stickers for packaging and additional stickers at group pricing. View Sticker!
• Inclusion in Island-wide brand promotions and events

Process

• Fill out Producer Application.
• Fill out Farm Evaluation Tool.
• Fill out Whidbey Island Grown Contract.
• Send or fax documents as indicated on the Application.
• A representative from Whidbey Island Grown will contact you with more details.

Whidbey Island Merchants Selling Local Products

Benefits

• Use the brand logo on internally produced support materials
• Use of signage supplied by the Whidbey Island Grown promotions program
• Advertising via the Whidbey Island Grown web site and newsletter
• Expanded awareness of your business via linkages to additional local food websites
• Inclusion in Whidbey Island Grown promotional events, such as “Eat Local Day/Week”

Process

• Fill out the Merchant Member Application.
• Fill out and Sign Contract.
• Send or fax Application and Contract as indicated on the Application.
• A representative from Whidbey Island Grown will contact you with more details.

Benefits

Process

• Fill out the Sponsor Application and attach check for level of sponsorship
• Send Application and check to the address indicated on the application.
• A representative will contact you to for additional information and supply you with signage.
